Our Services

At MHB Support Services, we provide person-centred, evidence-based behaviour support to help people improve their quality of life, build meaningful skills and reduce behaviours that may place themselves or others at risk.

Our approach is focused on understanding the why behind behaviour. We work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and support teams to identify the factors influencing behaviour and develop practical strategies that can be successfully used in everyday life.

Our Behaviour Support services include:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)

  • Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Interim and Positive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Identification, reporting and reduction of restrictive practices

  • Behaviour support strategy development

  • Training and coaching for families, carers and support teams

  • Implementation support and regular plan review

  • Ongoing monitoring of progress and outcomes

We believe behaviour support should be practical, respectful and genuinely useful. Our goal is not simply to manage behaviour, but to build skills, increase independence and create supportive environments where people can thrive.

Daily Living and Home Based Supports

We provide practical, individualised support to help people build independence and confidence in their everyday lives.

Our supports are designed around the person's individual goals, needs and preferences. Whether someone needs assistance with day-to-day activities or is working towards developing greater independence, we focus on providing support that is respectful, practical and empowering.

Daily Living and Home-Based Supports may include:

  • Personal care and self-care routines

  • Meal planning, preparation and cooking skills

  • Household tasks including cleaning, laundry and organisation

  • Grocery shopping and community access

  • Budgeting and money management skills

  • Developing routines and daily living skills

  • Building confidence and independence at home

  • Support to maintain a safe, comfortable and functional home environment

What makes our approach different is the ability to integrate clinical, therapeutic and behaviour support expertise into everyday support where required.

This may include:

  • Behaviour support strategies embedded into daily routines

  • Consistent approaches across home and community environments

  • Collaboration between support workers, clinicians, families and other providers

  • Ongoing review and adjustment as a person's needs and goals change

Our focus is on supporting people to develop skills, confidence and independence — providing assistance where it is needed while encouraging each person to do as much as they can for themselves.
