Daily Living and Home Based Supports
We provide practical, personalised support to help people feel more confident and independent in their everyday lives.
Everyone has different goals and different things they need help with. For some people, that might mean having support with everyday tasks at home. For others, it might be learning new skills, building confidence or working towards doing more independently.
We work alongside each person at their own pace, providing the right level of support while encouraging them to take an active role in their everyday life.
How we can help
Our Daily Living and Home-Based Supports may include:
Personal care and self-care routines
Meal planning, shopping, preparation and cooking
Cleaning, laundry and keeping things organised
Grocery shopping and getting out into the community
Budgeting and managing money
Developing routines and everyday living skills
Building confidence with tasks at home
Creating a safe and comfortable home environment
Developing skills for greater independence
More than just practical support
Where it is helpful, our support can also draw on our experience in psychology and behaviour support.
This means we can bring strategies into everyday situations rather than keeping them separate from a person's day-to-day life. For example, we may help someone practise emotional regulation while completing a routine, build communication skills during community activities, or use behaviour support strategies consistently across home and community settings.
With your consent, we can also work closely with families, support workers, psychologists, behaviour practitioners, occupational therapists and other members of your support team.
Supporting independence, not replacing it
Our goal isn't to do everything for you.
We focus on doing things with you rather than doing things for you, wherever possible. This gives you the opportunity to practise, build confidence and develop skills that can make everyday life more manageable.
As your skills and confidence grow, we can adjust the level of support to reflect what you can do independently.
Whether you're looking for a little extra help with everyday life or working towards bigger goals, we'll work with you to make sure your support is practical, respectful and centred around what matters to you.
